Re: Jarrod Bowen - England Squad - called up
Yeah, I think that freak injury does make people still to this day worry.

But for me, it's a good source of pride to have our players called up, especially seen as they are often overlooked in favour of an average/out of form player who just happens to wear the 'right' club shirt.

Dead right that it sets the example you don't have to move to a 'big' club to get the call up which hopefully helps him see he doesn't have to leave, although if we are being truthful, it's easier to get called up playing for a big club. I have no doubt that if Bowen played for one of the clubs who finished top six, he'd have been in the England squad at least six months ago.

There is the worry about him being tapped up by players from other teams on behalf of their managers. I've no doubt the Man U and Chelsea boys have been doing that to Rice ever since he got into the squad.

Re: Jarrod Bowen - England Squad - called up
People still don't want our players called up because of what happened to Dean Ashton.

But surely if they get overlooked by England playing for us that is more of a reason for them to leave for a 'big club'?

Re: Jarrod Bowen - England Squad - called up
Thoroughly deserved and he won't let England down.

A consistent goal threat who also works hard to cover ground etc. Guarantee you he will offer England more than somebody like Mason Mount. Who I'm still fecked off with after that god-awful Euros tournament he had.

Hereford to England via Hull.
Great work Jarrod. Hope he stops at WHUFC for years - hard working, consistent, rarely injured with a flash of brilliance in his game.
His sign8ng has been a complete success.

I see that know nothing fuckwit Simon Jordan disagrees with everybody about Bowen. This from a bloke who bailed out at Palace because he couldn't hack it.

The waistcoated one will play him in every position except the one he's excelled in , then claim he's shit and drop him in favour of someone from the media darlings.

Does this means we have to give more money to Hull since he's been called up?.

Thoroughly deserved, hope he does enough to give Southgate a selection problem.

Absolutely delighted for him. Well earnt call up. Reading the HYS on BBC, I’ve never seen such unanimous approval from other clubs’ supporters. He’s impressed everyone.

I hope he does himself proud. He’ll definitely get to play, and probably start at least once, as England have four matches coming up.

G’on Jarrod, son!

Hope he gets out on the pitch and earns a cap. His form this season has been a high point. I hope he can continue to improve next season.

Re: Jarrod Bowen - England Squad - called up
WAISTCOAT is a bit like Moyes.

He's undoubtedly improved England in a big way, but you still feel like he's making obvious mistakes that are costing us.

WAISTCOAT likes left backs as much as Moyes likes strikers, it seems.

Massive congrats to him. Had a far better season than several 'name' players'. Fully deserved.
